Saturday Quote: "May you live all the days of your life"

This Saturday, I decided to find an inspirational quote to share with y'all. This one is from Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver's Travels, A Modest Proposal, and a well known satirist. Although this quote may have been meant as a satirical joke, I think it's lovely! I can definitely think of days in my life that I haven't truly "lived" and this is a great reminder to make the most of every day.

This photo is actually from my wedding day! There was a beautiful gazebo outside the reception hall and our photographer captured this picture right after it got dark enough for the lights to come on outside. Isn't it beautiful?

Happy Saturday! How are you planning to live this day?

Birchbox Review: FEBRUARY

If you've never heard of Birchbox, here's a quick explanation. After signing up (for $10 a month), you receive a box of fabulous samples every month in a cute pink box! The samples are a surprise each month, but tailored to your interests since you fill out a survey when you sign up! Subscriptions to Birchbox also make great gifts.

Here's what I found inside my February Birchbox! The theme this month was "Red Carpet Ready"

Now, on to the reviews!

1. Beauty Protector: Protect & Detangle

"Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixer performs seven hair-healing functions. Among them: locking in color, adding shine, and instantly detangling."

I found this to be a pretty standard detangler. I didn't notice very much added shine after using it, although it did make my hair really soft after blow drying. This sample is really large... which is always great! The full size bottle is only $21.95 so it's not that much of a splurge either.

2. Color Club: Nail polish in Wild Cactus

"Shoo away winter blues with this on-trend emerald polish."
Definitely my favorite sample this month! I love getting nail polish in my Birchbox. The color doesn't show up great in the photo (I think the pink tissue paper threw my colors off a little bit). But it's a deep emerald color (the Pantone color of the year!). It's fun but still professional enough for me to wear in the hospital!

3. Dr. Jart+ : Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm

"From the brand that brought BB creams to the U.S., this gold standard formulation has mineral SPF 25 and a satiny, matte finish.

This is a pretty good moisturizer. Not oily and absorbs into your skin really well. I don't know that I'd buy the full size cream for $36 though.

4. Juicy Couture: Couture La La

"Roll out the red carpet for this new scent, a stunning mix of mandarin, red currant, lily, and orange blossom."

I really ended up liking this perfume! And I rarely change perfumes (I've been using Clinique Happy in Bloom for years). It was a little strong at first but had a nice floral scent that lasted throughout the day. I would definitely consider buying the full size!

5. Ghirardelli Milk & Caramel Square

"Try this treat solo or expierment - s'mores or baked into a cookie. Who says you can't riff on decadence?"

Chocolate and caramel - you won't hear me complaining about this being included in my Birchbox!

So, do any of y'all subscribe to Birchbox?

Happy Sunday! I wanted to share this verse and beautiful photo with you to get your week started off on the right foot! The photo was taken by Automatt on Flickr (see more of his work here). I love all of the light in this photograph and wanted to find a verse to go along with it. So, I chose Matthew 5:16:

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week, with lots of good deeds and "letting your light shine"!

This scripture comes from the book of Matthew, chapter 28, verse 20.

"Remember, I am with you always to the end of the age."

This verse always makes me feel very peaceful and comforted, so I wanted to find an image to accompany it that made me feel the same way. So I went to search images of forests and landscapes and stumbled across the amazing work of photographer, Robin Halioua. You can see more of his work here

Don't you think this photo is a perfect match for this verse?  I think the pairing of the two would make a fabulous computer background or wallpaper!Remember, I am with you always to the end of the age Matthew 28:20, photo by Robin Halioua

I hope you're having a relaxing Saturday, so far!

It's Freebie Friday, and I think since Valentine's day is coming up soon, we need some fun free printables. Don't you? These quotes are all great on their own, but I really love them together.

I made these about a month ago and have just been itching to share them with y'all!
These would work great printed out as cards, framed in your home, or just stuck on a bulletin board as a festive Valentine's Day decoration!

I've finally got the hang of my clinical rotations (I think!), and am ready to start back up with adding new listings to my Etsy shop (PrintableWisdom).

I thought I'd get some feedback from my blog and Facebook followers to see what they'd like me to start working on first (I have the hardest time just picking one!).

So, what do you think?

What kind of product would you MOST like to see added to the PrintableWisdom shop on Etsy?

The Superbowl is this weekend (if you haven't heard!), and my favorite thing about the day is getting to try out fun new party recipes! Pinterest has really helped out this year and I wanted to share a few recipes I'll be trying with y'all!
Don't those all look great! Here are the links to my pins so you can go make all these yummy recipes!

Is your mouth watering yet? The only recipe on the board that I've made already are the beer cupcakes (I used Shiner Bock Beer - made in Texas!). They were AWESOME and I don't even like beer!

I'll let you all know how the others turn out after Sunday! Let me know what recipes you're making, and I'd love for you to follow me on Pinterest!

Happy Friday and happy "Pinning"!
